But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

This verse always fills me with hope, especially when I’m feeling drained or overwhelmed. It’s a promise that God will give me the strength I need, but it requires patience and trust. “Waiting on the Lord” isn’t passive—it’s an active trust that He’s working in my life even when I can’t see it.

When I reflect on this verse, I’m reminded that God’s timing is perfect. There are moments when I feel like I’m running on empty, but this passage reassures me that by waiting on Him, I will be refreshed and renewed. The image of mounting up with wings like eagles reminds me that God’s strength can lift me above the struggles and challenges, giving me a perspective that I can’t have on my own.

Running without growing weary and walking without fainting is a powerful promise. It speaks to the endurance and perseverance God provides when I lean on Him. No matter the season I’m in—whether I’m facing a sprint or a long, steady walk—this verse reminds me that God’s strength will sustain me. It’s a source of comfort and motivation to keep moving forward in faith, knowing He’s with me every step of the way.
