And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
— Galatians 6:9 (ESV)
Reflection: Perseverance is key in our spiritual journey. The Apostle Paul encourages us in Galatians 6:9 not to grow weary in doing good. Often, the results of our efforts are not immediately visible, and it can be tempting to give up when we don’t see immediate fruit. But God’s timing is perfect, and He promises that in due season, we will reap a harvest if we remain faithful.
Perseverance in doing good means continuing to act in love, serve others, and pursue righteousness, even when it’s difficult or when the results are unseen. It’s trusting that God is at work, even when we can’t see it.
Application: Think of an area in your life where you’ve been working hard but are tempted to give up. Remember that your perseverance in doing good will bear fruit in God’s perfect time. Keep going, trusting that God sees your efforts and will bring a harvest in due season.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the encouragement to persevere in doing good. Help me to remain faithful, even when the results are not immediate. Strengthen my heart and give me the endurance to continue in Your work, trusting that You will bring the harvest in Your time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge: Commit to one good work or act of service today that you may have been neglecting or tempted to give up on. Trust that God will use it in ways you may not yet see.
