But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
— Matthew 6:33 (ESV)

Reflection:
Matthew 6:33 calls us to prioritize seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness above all else. When we focus on Him, everything else falls into place. Often, we become consumed with the concerns of daily life, but Jesus reminds us that when we put God first, He will take care of our needs.

This doesn’t mean that life will always be easy, but it means that when our priorities are in the right place, we can trust God to provide for us.

Application:
Think about how you can prioritize seeking God’s kingdom in your daily life. What changes can you make to ensure that God comes first?

Prayer:
Father, help me to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else. Keep my heart focused on You, trusting that You will provide for my needs. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Challenge:
Identify one area where you can better prioritize seeking God’s kingdom today, and take a practical step in that direction.
