Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
— Matthew 10:28 (NIV)

Reflection: On this day, we remember Saint Cyprian, a bishop and martyr who remained faithful to Christ in the face of persecution. Saint Cyprian’s courage to stand firm in his faith, even unto death, is a powerful reminder of the eternal perspective we are called to have as followers of Christ.

Cyprian’s life encourages us not to fear those who can harm our bodies but to remain focused on the eternal reward that comes from faithfulness to God. His legacy challenges us to stand firm in our beliefs, even when it’s difficult or dangerous.

Application: Reflect on how you can live with courage and boldness in your faith, just as Saint Cyprian did. Ask God for the strength to stand firm, even in the face of opposition.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the example of Saint Cyprian and his unwavering faith. Help me to stand firm in my beliefs and to live with courage, knowing that my reward is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Challenge: Consider how you can live out your faith more boldly today. Take a step to stand firm in your beliefs, even if it means facing opposition.
