Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
— Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
Reflection:
Forgiveness is one of the most powerful acts we can offer. Ephesians 4:32 calls us to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us—completely and unconditionally. Forgiveness frees us from the weight of bitterness and resentment and allows us to experience God’s grace more fully.
It’s not always easy to forgive, especially when the hurt is deep. But when we choose to forgive, we reflect the heart of God, who forgave us at great cost.
Application:
Is there someone you need to forgive? Take time to ask God for the strength to forgive as Christ has forgiven you.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for forgiving me so completely. Help me to extend that same forgiveness to others, even when it’s difficult. Heal any wounds in my heart and give me the grace to let go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge:
Reach out in forgiveness today to someone you may have been holding resentment against. Ask God for the strength to do so.
